National Crime Victims' Rights Week 2016

April 14, 2016 

This year, Sullivan County joined the nation in observing National Crime Victims' Rights Week, which is April 10-16, 2016. District Attorney General Barry Staubus participated in a tree planting ceremony honoring victims of crimes, and LaVerne Craig and Joan Berry visited the Sullivan County D.A.'s Office as part of the Purple Ribbon Campaign.

At the Sullivan County D.A.'s Office, LaVerne Craig and Joan Berry presented purple ribbons to District Attorney General Barry Staubus, Assistant District Attorney General Kaylin Render, and Victim/Witness Coordinator Karen Musser in appreciation for their service to victims of crimes in Sullivan County. Ms. Craig and Ms. Berry are advocates for victims' rights, and are victims of crime themselves.
