The Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office held their Season to Remember event honoring victims of homicide and their families on Thursday night, December 12, 2024. The event was held in conjunction with the annual Christmas Tree Lightning at the historic Sullivan County Courthouse in Blountville: “One Special Town … Two Special Trees”. The Victims’ Remembrance Tree was lit to honor lives lost to violence. Surviving family members had the opportunity to hang ornaments on the tree in memory of their loved ones.
